Roye robley

Producer, Percussionist, Educator

Roye Robley is a professional producer, engineer, percussionist, and instructor from Hammond, Indiana. He is the former studio and touring drummer for international recording and touring act Like A Storm. Roye also performs with several Chicago-area based live bands, and frequently plays percussion for musicals in the area. Roye has compiled an impressive performance resume--supporting acts such as Three Days Grace, Creed, Saving Abel, Mayday Parade, and Hawthorne Heights--across North America.

Although still relatively new to the field, Roye's production and engineering resume is growing steadily. In his few years on the scene, Roye has engineered and performed on several chart topping singles ("Break Free," "Love The Way You Hate Me," "Wish You Hell" by Like A Storm) and worked with the likes of Belmont, Zachary Krugman, and Rare Candy. He's also kept busy with a slew of amazing local artists (Stop Drop Rewind, Detour North, Arvia, As We Once Were). Roye shuns the "in-and-out" mindset of commercial studios and instead focuses on developing the artists and their songs, subscribing to the old adage: "quality of quantity".

I've had the pleasure of working with tons of amazing artists. Below, you'll find a collection of songs I've produced/engineered/mixed/mastered. Enjoy!

Roye Robley is the clear choice in providing the most personal, professional, and positive recording experience within a reasonable budget. His knowledge of his craft is unparalleled and his final product is always killer. - Sam Patt (Belmont)

We just finished our third album with Roye, so suffice to say we're happy with the product we get from him. But more than that, we enjoy the process of working with him. Roye is patient, knowledgable, creative, handsome, and constructive in his criticisms, and he has a candle in his studio so it never gets too smelly. He may not have a fancy robot or a standing desk, but he has a deep understanding of both recording and songwriting, which makes him pretty much the ideal producer. Our songs are better because of his input, which we were happy to get from him in all phases of production, from songwriting to completion. Plus, he's easy on the eyes. We will gladly continue working with him for as long as he'll have us, or until he gets a couple top 40 hits on his resume and we can't afford him anymore. - DJ Crenson (Stop.Drop.Rewind)
